SWIM POSTPONED
NORTH SHORE’S HARBOUR RACE At a meeting last evening the North Shore Amateur Swimming Club postponed the harbour swim to have been held tomorrow afternoon from Devonport Wharf to Cheltenham Kiosk. The contest, which is for the Morgan < up, will take place on Saturday, March 15. A new course, to comply with the tides, is proposed from the Torpedo Wharf, round Lands pit Beacon to Dev. onport Wharf—a distance of one and a-quarter miles. In appreciation of the three rescues at Muriwai Beach by Miss Kila Munro, tho club elected her a life member. The Munro Cup, presented by the Deputy-Mayor of Devonport, Mr. J. R. ilislop, in recognition of Miss Munro’a bravery, will be competed for on the date of tho harbour race. The event, a 220 yards race for girls under 21, will take place at Devonport Beach. Races will also take place for the War Memorial Cup, in a championship event for North fcfiioro schools, and for former pupils of the schools.
