WESTERN SPRINGS RACES AUSTRALIAN SPEEDSTERS Fast racing is promised on the Western Springs Stadium tomorrow night, when Frank Pearce, holder of both lap and mile records on this track, and Charlie Spinks, another whirlwind Australian rider who has performed well here, will meet in a series of three match races. The former will also make an attempt to lower his mile record. He has recently bought a new machine which is said to bo even faster than the one on which he made a world record a few years ago. Auckland riders will be well catered for by the first round of the Pascoe Cup contests, which must be won by a local rider, although the visitors from across the Tasman will also ride in this event.
