VESSELS COLLIDE
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO STEAMER ACCIDENT NEAR HONG KONG SYDNEY, Friday. The Eastern and Australian liner Tanda, 6,956 tons, outward bound for Australia, and the China Navigation Company’s steamer Anking, 3,472 tons, collided near Hong-kong. The hull of the Tanda was extensively damaged, according to advices received at Sydney. The Tanda had a good many passengers on board at the time of the mishap. The vessel is now back In Hong-kong, undergoing repairs.
