GARDEN PARTY

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH FUNCTION AT TE KUITI A delightful garden party, under the auspices of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Te Kuiti, was held at the residence of Mrs. W. Smith, on Wednesday afternoon. Ideal weather prevailed for the function, and the large attendance thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. The members of tbe Cbureh. Guild were responsible for the arrangements. The guild president, Mr. J. N. Boddie, presided over tbe function. ’The various stalls were in charge of: Vegetable stall, Mesdames Henderson and Fraser; cake stall, Mesdames MaeKcnzio and Boflds; sweets stall, Mesdames Aitken and Saunders; afternoon tea, Mesdames Bathgate, Jones, Hislop and Powdrili. Misses Gundry and Allison won the proverbs competition.
