FAREWELL EVENING FOR HOLIDAY-MAKERS

YOUNG FOLK ENTERTAINED Mrs. T. J. Buxton, of “Inniacorthy,” Owens Road, Epsom, was hostess at a delightful party given to bid farewell to Misses Margaret Wright, Corrie Gallagher and Edith Sanders, prior to their departure for England and the Continent. Bowls of tiger-lilies and zinnias shaded from pink to gold decorated the lounges and dining-room, where supper was served. Gay balloons and streamers struck a bright note in the ballroom. Luring the evening musical items were contributed by Miss Loris Dransgrove. Mrs. Buxton received her guests wearing a heavily beaded frock of black georgette. Mrs. Stuart Garland wore floral chiffon and Miss G. Letton rose du barri georgette. Those present were: Mrs. Sutcliffe, in midnight blue lace and chifflon; Mrs. Cooper, black Chantilly lace over pale pink; Miss Margaret Wright, ivory taffeta with deep hem of silver lace; Miss C. -Wright, old rose taffeta - Miss E. Sanders, turquoise embossed georgette; Miss C. Gallagher, coral georgette; Miss Tully Stewart, in iloial ninon; Miss A. Wright, jade green georgette; Miss T. Stewart, blush pmk satin, Miss D. Wright, powder blue satin; Miss Alison Kell, salmon pink satin frilled with black net; Miss J. Wilson, black ninon; Miss J. Carter, black chantilly lace; Miss Noel Stone, almond green taffeta; Miss W. Faram, in sprigged chiffon and beigo lace; Miss Lata. Coutts, buttercup taffeta; Miss Louise Harris, powder blue moire satin and georgette; Miss L. Lincoln, capucine georgette; Miss D. Bransgrove, pale pink crepe de chine.
