BRITISH LOAN

EXTENSION FOR CASH SUBSCRIPTIONS LONDON, Thursday. A statement was made in the House of commons by tho Chancellor of the Lxehequer, Mr. Philip Snowden, that no part ot the 4i per cent, cash and conversion loan would be privately underwritten. The response to the invitation for cash subscriptions had been so satisfactory that the list was closed this afternoon, but the conversion offer will remain open for a few days. The new 4t- per cent, stock was offered to cash subscribers at 95 on terms giving an effective yield of’ £4 18s 7d per cent., presuming redemption in 14 years.
