FACILITIES AT MATAMATA APPRECIATED HEALTH MINISTER’S VISIT “It is very gratifying to note the manner in which women in the country districts are making use of the facilities and expert medical advice available in the- maternity homes that the Department of Health has sought to have provided.” | The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Public Health, made this comment in discussing his visit on Tuesday to the Matamata Maternity Hospital. The Minister was met by the resident doctor and staff, and inspected the hospital and grounds. The building accommodates 12 patients as well as providing room for a casualty w T ard. The greatest satisfaction was expressed by the Minister at the care and attention that was obviously given the patients. The grounds and gardens are carefully supervised and their restful atmosphere is much appreciated by patients.
