AUSTRALIANS TO RACE

WESTERN SPRINGS MEETING Two more Australian riders who have been appearing with much success on tracks across the Tasman will compete at the Western Springs Stadium on Saturday evening. This wlil be their only appearance in Auckland this season. They will take part in match races and in the open events. Jock Hollis is said to be one of the cleverest riders in Sydney, where he recently made a track record for the Wentworth Speedway. With him will be Eric Whittle, who has attracted huge crowds during the season to both the Wentworth track and to Speedway Royal, Sydney. These speedsters are expected to come close to the record times at Western Springs.
