Bavin, after a meeting of the Cabinet today, said: —Unfortunately we could not arrive at a common policy at the Premiers’ Conference last week, and my Government is faced with the necessity of dealing with the situation separately. We shall probably call a conference of trade union representatives and employers' organisations, to enlist their co-operation.
