Their ultimate t / ination is believed to be Hsu Chow Fu, a strategic point on the Tientsin-Pukow railway. The troop movements completely disrupted the railway services at Shanghai and Nanking. Warlike preparations of an intense nature are reported to be proceeding in anticipation of the launching of a campaign to suppress Yen Hsi Shan, the rebellious Shansi Governor, who at present is indulging in a telegraphic war with the President, Chiang Kal Shek. Fighting is already reported in the vicinity of Lin Cheng.
