V GRADE SELECTION RESULTS Press Association DUNEDIN. Monday. The New Zealand band contests were resumed today. There was a good attendance in the evening when the B grade first test selection was played. The points awarded will not be divulged until Wednesday evening, when the second test will be held, but the judge announced that the order in which ho had placed the competitors was;—Oaxu&ru Municipal, 1; Hastings Citizens. 2; Christchurch Municipal, 3; Invercargill Civic. 4; Carterton Municipal. 5; Mosgiol Municipal, 6; Dunedin City Tramways. 7. The judge said he had difficulty in selecting the band to be placed first. Other results were; BB Flat Bass Solo. —A. Hughes ♦ Woolston), 97 points. 1; C. Hansen • Woolston), 95, 2: J. Milne (Wellington Municipal), 94, 3. B Flat Bass. —F. Sauer (Waimate), S 9 points, 1. The only competitor. Quartet. —The following were recalled: —Port Nicholson No. 2, Queen Alexandra’s Own (Wanganui). Invercargill Civic No. 1, Hastings No. 1. E Flat Bass Solo.—E. Berg (Queen Alexandra’s Own), 93 points. 1; J. Avery (Tlmaru). 92. 2: A.. Nelson (St. Hilda), J. Grant (Port Nicholson), A. Homer (St. Hilda), C. Pollock (Woolston), equal, 91 points. 3.
