GREETING TO CONSTABLE
FINED FOR LANGUAGE His spirited remarks to a constable last evening resulted in Edward Horatio Sutherland being charged at the Police Court this morning with using obscene language. lie was lined £l. Sutherland, an engineer, aged 45, pleaded feuilty to being found drunk in Green Park Avenue. “I don’t remember anything about it,” lie said, in answer to the charge of using obscene language. Senior-Sergeant O’Grady said a constable had been called fo Sutherland s home as a result of his conduct there. The man’s wife was explaining the trouble to the constable when Sutherland used the language. Accused was fined ss, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment for drunkenness and default of the £1 fine was fixed by Mr. P. K. Hunt, S.M., at three days’ imprisonment.
