THAMES PIONEERS MEET

ANNUAL PICNIC HELD The Thames Old Girls’ Association held its annual picnic at Cornwall Park on Saturday afternoon. There was a very large attendance of pioneers, many being between 80 and 90 years of age. Mrs. Alfred Oldham, the president, Mrs. McMiken, secretary, and Miss Shaw, assistant secretary, welcomed the guests, who included visitors from Thames and Te Aroha. A very happy afternoon was spent, and afternoon tea served. The picnic ended with the singing of “Aulcl Lang Syne.”
