SCOTT TAKES COUNT

KNOCKED OUT BY SPARRING PARTNER MANAGER IS UNPERTURBED NEW YORK, Thursday. Telegrams from Miami say it is not generally revealed, but it is understood that in yesterday’s sparring Phil Scott received a blow from Jack Renault, his partner, which put him down for the count. There were few spectators present, although it is understood that a photographer snapped a picture of the occurrence. Scott’s manager explained that Scott had slipped and received the impact of a missed lead. He dismissed the incident as of no importance, although boxing circles here express much surprise.
