Keen Games Tomorrow

SUBURBAN CRICKET Harbour Board v. Green Lane AFTER being disappointed in postponing its matches last Saturday to enable players to attend the Test match, the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association intends continuing its competition games at the Domain tomorrow. Wickets should he in good order and keen contests are promised in all three senior games.

The clash between the competition leader, Green Lane, and Harbour Board, on the centre wicket, is likely to attract most attention, particularly in view of the latter’s great batting display a fortnight ago against Albion. If favoured by the toss, Harbour Board will probably elect to bat on a good wicket, and provided the openers can “get set,” the team should run up a formidable score against the Lane men. A good, even struggle should be witnessed in Ellerslie-Albion game. The latter eleven has shown a. marked improvement in batting and bowling since late in the first round, and is expected to extend Ellerslie to the utmost. A good performance is expected of Wesleyan Young Men’s Institute in its game with Ponsonby. Ponies scored a narrow victory over Ellerslie a fortnight ago and are in good form, but any advantage they may have may be counter-balanced by W.Y.M.I.’s improved performances thus far in the second round. Teams are as under: Senior A Grade Green Lane. —Clark (2), Hart, Kerr,
