PONSONBY FOLK PETITION CITY COUNCIL FACTORIES NOT WANTED Desiring that *the portion of the city bounded on the east by the Auckland Gas Company’s works, on the south by College Road, and on the west and north by the harbour, be reserved for all time as a residential area only, 100 residents of the locality petitioned the City Council last evening through Mr. E. Casey. The petition was referred to the Town Planning Committee for consideration. Forty residents of Eden Terrace petitioned through Cr. T. Bloodworth for attention to the footpaths of the district. The Works Committee will investigate.
