UNWANTED WAR RELICS

In the basement of the Auckland Town Hall several German machine-guns—relics of the Great War. Some time ago. the Town Clerk, Mr. J. S. Brigham, communicated with the commanding officer of the North Auckland Military District asking for suggestions for the disposal of the guns. The officer thought it probable that they would be accepted by local bodies in the vicinity of Auckland, .and the City Council agreed last evening to' act in this direction
