FRENCH CLUB PRESENTATIONS
A travelling clock and a desk calendar were presented to Miss G. Van Osselaer and Mr. G. H. Bassant respectively at a special meeting of the committee of the Auckland French Club last, evening. The recipients are members of the club executive, and are leaving Auckland shortly. Mr. P. S. Ardern, president of the club, paid tribute to Miss Van Osselaer’s work as librarian, and referred to the .efficient services given the club by Mr. Bassant as secretary. The presentations were made by M. Paul Serre, the French Consul.
