TAKAPUNA WEDDING
TRAIN-LENGTH VEIL OF GOSSAMER NET BEVERIDGE—BEMROSE The Rev. H. L. Richards officiated at a pretty wedding at the Methodist Church, Takapuna, last evening, when Miss Lillias Helen Bemrose, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Bemrose, of Takapuna, was married to Mr. Robert Beveridge, the younger son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Beveridge, of Wellington. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming French frock of ivory georgette with a plain corsage, to which was pinned a shoulder spray of pearls and brilliants. A series of hand-pleated frills was a feature of the skirt, these being repeated just above the waist line. A full train-length gossamer net veil was suspended from a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of cream roses and asters, with maidenhair fern. Miss Ihler Wheatley attended the bride as maid, her frock being of delphinium blue French crepe de chine. A novel feature of the skirt was a tier of frills which finished in a large bow tied at the back. Aliss "Wheatley’s headdress was a swathe of silver lame tied at one side turban-wise. She carried a shower bouquet of delphiniums and asters. Air. J. Curran attended the bridegroom as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s sister, Airs. H. P. Collins. Airs. Bemrose received the guests in a frock of russet charmeuse and wore a hat of navy bankok, with relief of cornflower blue and lilac.
