A COLOURFUL SHOW A large audience was again delighted DJ last evening's performance of that most entertaining production, "LomMakst“alr”° W at HiS A feature of the show is the gorgeous colouring both in frocks and settings a blending of colours calculated to enrapture the most apathetic greeting the eye at all moments. As the famous NeAv York dress designer, Leo Carrillo scores an enormous success, and his accomplished art as a straight actor is further enhanced . y wonderful conversational fac--111 -... ls wol ’k is fairly bristling A\-ith sparkling repartee and clever witticisms which he "puts OA'er” at high speed. ‘ A continuous vein of humour f. u . ns through the performance, and this keeps the audience in a constant simmer of mirth and anticipation of the next laughter-provoking quip or incident. Another attraction is the mannequin parade, composed of Auckland gir#s. who display wholly delightful modes to great advantage, and haA’e created quite a sensation among Auckland women. Outstanding in an accomplished cast are Barbara Luddy, a taking little American actress, Miss Cullen Landis, of gum-chewing fame, and Leslie Victor. "Lombardi. Ltd.’ will be seen again tonight.
