LIDO TO ARCTIC Olympia otherwise is devoted to “light industries,” such as clothing and a display which offers goods to suit everybody, from the bathing belle to the Arctic explorer, pottery and glass, photographic equipment, sports goods and scores of other products. At Birmingham, where the heavy section of the fair is held, the exhibitions have increased until there are eight miles of shop windows and four miles of gangways with stands on either side. All have been arranged iu sections to facilitate the inspection of goods in which visitors wil! have special interest. The hardware and brass foundry sections have in particular open developed this year. The entire fair illustrates the immense scope of British industry as well as the vigorous commercial enterprise now being displayed by it.
