BUS SERVICES WANTED
FROM DOMINION ROAD VIA MT. ROSKILL BOARD NOT INTERESTED A bus service from the new Dominion Road tram terminus through the Winstone Estate to Waikowhai was asked of the Transport Board this morning by the Mount Roskill Road Board. The road board also desired a bus service from the Dominion Road terminus along Mount Albert Road, to connect with the Royal Oak-Onehunga service. The manager. Mr. A. E. Ford, recommended that the board should not undertake either of the services. He thought the volume of traffic resulting would be small. If, however, it was intended to operate the services, he suggested the board invite applications. Mr. E. H. Potter believed there would be several applications for the Mount Roskill service. Mr. G. Baildon, acting-chairman: For feeder services? Air. Potter: No one can make a feeder service pay. The bc-ard adopted the manager's report, but decided not to call applications. However, any Inquiries made would be considered.
