HAURAKI REGIMENT

CAMP AT PAEROA From Our Own Correspondent PAEROA, Monday. TJie Hauraki Regiment is camped at the Paeroa racecourse. The battalion, numbering about 400 or 500 officers and men. including territorials, are all under canvas. So far the weather has been very unfavourable. The battalion, officers, N.C.O.’s and territorials, with the regimental band, is under the command of Lieut.-Col. F. Prideaux. with Major E. A. Porritt; M.C.. second in command. Lieut. V. J. Innis. adjutant to the Hauraki Regiment, is also in camp. A large number of citizens visited the camp yesterday. The morning was given up to general training. but at 11 o’clock a combined church service took place and was conducted by the two chaplains, the Rev. W. J. Burley and the Rev. T. G. Brown. The 1 regimental band supplied the music for the service.
