COMMITTEE SUSPENDS PRESIDENT TROUBLE IN SOUTH Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The president of the Canterbury Rugby Football League, Dr. IT. T. j. Thacker, was suspended by the management committee of the League last evening until such time as he appears before the committee to ’‘explain various statements attributed to him and his unconstitutionally calling a meeting of delegates.” Three League players, J. R. O’Shaughnessy, W. J. Lamberton and A. O’Connor, were suspended during the pleasure of the management committee for “acting in a manner, in the opinion of the committee, bringing discredit on the game.”
