Tapley and Company, agents tor the Byrd Expedition, state that Raymond Mercola, whose views on the movements of the Antarctic expedition were published in Auckland yesterday. was never supply officer ot'the expedition, but was taken aboard the Eleanor Boling on one trip as mess boy. He has, they aver, no authority to stare the present or future movements nt the expedition, and the information published is entirely incorrect.
