TEN-MILE HUMAN PACED RACE
SELECTION OF RIDERS The following riders have been invited to enter for the Auckland Provincial 10-mile human-paced championship. to be decided at the championships meeting of the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Union of Cyclists on February 26: —J. H. Wade. A. G. Mackie. H. R. Dwight, J. Whitten. L. B. Roberts, F. J. Casey. L. Aid red. J. Dykes. These riders will be paced for their journey of 341 laps of the Western | Springs Stadium by a group of riders who have been invited to take part in | a special "pacemakers' invitation miss ! and out scratch race,” provided that i they act as pacemakers in the cham- ; pionship race. These riders are as ! follow:—R. G. Foubister. S. Baird. C. | G. Galbraith, A. W. Pinker. C. I. Gainsj borough. L. Dwight. N. B. Casey. K. j Nankivell, J. Leather. G. M. Rollerson, ! A. J. Avery. C. Francis, E. A. Cleaver, j A. G. Baird, G. P. Clark, E. Andrews, | G. J. Whitehouse. ! Riders not invited to take part in the ! special race have been catered for with i a third-class handicap. Juniors are ; obviously included in this and if the t senior riders are not very careful a i junior may surprise them. Some of j the junior riders perform remarkably I well for lads and their special chamj pionship ought to provide some keen i racing.
