WOMAN BUYS AIRPLANE
MISS CLIFFORD’S VENTURE Special to THE SUN CHRISTCHURCH, Today. Miss Aroha Clifford, who was the first club-trained woman pilot in New Zealand, has now become the first woman plane owner in the country. She has bought and taken delivery of the Avro Avian formerly owned by Mr. K. Hall, of Hororata. At present the machine is on loan to the Canterbury Aero Club.
