DAWN LAND AND SUNSET LAND

The children leave the Dawn Land So full of song and mirth. Leave the silver-shining: strand To dwell awhile on earth. A lady opens wide the door And bids each one good-bye: They journey to the Sunset Land. Far. far beyond the sky. A little while on earth to plav. They travel to the West. Where children of the Sunset Land Have greetings for each gruest The Sunset Land is very brigh With grates of sold and blue. And there the Sunset Lady waits To let the travellers througrh. —Gloria Rawlinson, aged 11
