LIFE-SAVING CONTESTS

Good exhibitions of life-saving land and water drill will be witnessed in the first contest for the Williamson Shield, between teams representing th 9 Milford and Takapuna surf clubs, to be staged on Milford Beach on Sunday. The shield was donated by Mr. J. W. Williamson, Mayor of Takapuna. Mr. A. Faulkner will captain the Milford team and Mr. G. Hilliker will be in charge of the Takapuna team.
