DELUGE, WITH HAIL, IN NEW SOUTH WALES
COMMUNICATIONS UPSET Reed. 10.30 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. Fierce storms in the Central Tablelands caused much damage and in many places dislocated miles of telegraph and telephone lines. Five inches of rain were recorded at some stations. The deluge was accompanied by hail at times, and the streets of several small towns were soon awash. Harden and Murrumburrah suffered particularly. Stock losses are feared to be heavy in some districts.
