LAND EXPERIMENTS

CAWTHRON’S SUCCESS Tress Association NELSON, Thursday. At a meeting of trustees of the Cawthron Institute a letter of congratulation on the success of the investigations of pakibi lands carried out by the institute was read by the director, Professor T. H. Easterfield, from the Buller County Council. The letter stated:—“The council heartily congratulates the Cawthron Institute and staff on the great success of the experiments on the pakihi soil between Sergeant’s Hill and Fairdown. The council is particularly pleased with the results and will grant every assistance within its means for the continuation of your good work.”
