GRUESOME POLICE FIND IN ENGLAND

SOME BONES CHARRED Reed. 10.30 a.m. LONDON. Thurs. The police of Southampton have discovered the greater part of a human skeleton in a rusty trunk which had lain at a haulage contractor’s yard for four years. Some of the bones were charred. There were also a quantity of whiting and lime, some scraps of rotted material. a thigh bone, and a fractured skull, with a dark stain on it. Subsequent Investigations show that the bones came from an ancient burial ground, long since covered by an hotel.
