STOLE SUITCASE IN HOTEL
THIEF GETS THREE MONTHS Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. ' The magistrate sent John James McQuorquodale, aged 32, a salesman, to prison for three months’ hard labour for the theft of a suitcase and its contents valued at £2O. It was left, by the owner, Mr. Woodham, in a passage cf the People’s Palace Hotel. Accused had a previous record. His excuse was that he had no money and nowhere to go and took the suitcase on the spur of the moment.
