An interesting wedding w as ... brated at St. David’s Church. Khv* ber Pass. yesterday afternoon when Miss Kathleen Dorothy Roulston. daughter of Mr. and Mr/ W. Roulston. of Hamilton R Herne Bay, was married to the Rev*. Archibald Macfarlane El!iff e minister of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Otahuhu, and youngest son of Mrs. and the iatt Mr. H. W. Elliffe, of Grange Road Mount Eden. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. D. C. Herron, and Air. Crastoa presided at the organ. The church had been attractively decorated with massed hydrangeas i n tones of pink and blue, the green palms and pot plants creating a. delightful effect at the entrance. Given away by he.r father, the bride made a charming picture in her frock of ivory satin bcaute, with its j ong skirt falling gracefully from a tightfitting bodice, having an effective neckline of vandyked ivory silk lace. The sleeves were long, and tight-fit ting. Her beautifully embroidered veii’of ivory tulle was scalloped at the edge with satin, and was held in place with a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of carnations and rosei in white and delicate pink shades. Three bridesmaids wore in attendance—Aliss Ella Alatthews. Miss Valmf Roulston. sister of the bride, and Mis* Ruby Elliffe. sister of the bridegroonx, They were frocked respectively in delphinium blue lime green and rose geo", gette. made with full skirts having * draped effect at one side, the deen hem being of embossed chenille velvet in the same shade. A large flat bow of embossed velvet was worn on the hip, and to this was attached the draping, which hung in long graceful folds. Picture hats of summer felt, bordered with tulle, and swathed with velvet ribbon, were worn in shades to tone with their frocks. Sheaves of flowers in contrasting colours were ca rried. The Rev'. Eric Ross, of Te Kuitl, was best man, Air. F. W. Matthews, Air. Eric Roulston. Air. J. AI. Elliffe Air. J. Roulston, and Air. J. Hinkle* acting as ushers. A reception was held later in Bt, David’s Hal!, which had been decorated with hanging baskets of fern and hydrangeas and dahlias. A charming colour scheme of red and gold was carried out in summer flowers as tab!* decorations. To receive her guests. Airs. Roulston wore a frock of black georgette and Chantilly lace, with a close-fitting black hat, having a jewelled ornament. Airs. Elliffe, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black satin frock, with a wide fur stole, and a hat of black , bankok straw.

Norman Karam carried out the Al.C.'s duties, and in an interlude asked Aliss Anderson, to receive the offerings brought by her many friends. Air. E. Lacon replied on behalf of the guest. .The evening terminated with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne. Aliss Anderson’s marriage is to take place shortly. ♦ * * FAREWELL PARTY A large number of tennis enthusiasts and other friends from Manunui and Ongarue gathered at the residence of Air. and Mrs. AlcCracken. Ongarue, to bid farewell to their son, Air. V. G* AlcCracken, prior to his departure fr>f Auckland, where he bus entered thd Auckland Training College. Mr. X M. Delaney presided, and on behalf o. the Tennis Clubs and others, made a presentation to the guest Air. B. Gardiner, speaking for the School Committee, mentioned the high opinion held for Air.
