CAR HIT BY TRAIN
MOTORIST ESCAPES UNHURT MISHAP AT MATAMATA From Our Own Correspondent MATAMATA, Today. A narrow escape from death at a level-crossing was the experience of Mr. Cecil Neems, mail carrier, yesterday afternoon. In trying to avoid three children he failed to notice the approach of the goods train from Matamata to Rotorua. The front of his car was. hit and turned round. The car was damaged but Mr. Neems escaped injury.
