MANUKAU YACHT CLUB

RACES FOR CORNWELL CLASS The Manukau Yacht and MotorBoat Club held its annual picnic to Waikowhai during the week-end. A large number of members and friends attended. Five races were held for the Cornwell Cup class flatties. Details are: First Race.—Grant and Dennis (Norwilson), Baker and Rose (Tua Tea), Mclntosh and McKenzie (Comet). Result: Tua Tea, 1; Norwilson, 2. Second Race. —G. Dennis, R.N.Z.Y.S. (Tua Tea), W. Goodison, R.N.Z.Y.S. (Norwilson), N. Wilson, Manukau Yacht Club (Comet). Result: Tua Tea, 1; Comet, 2; G. Dennis.won the cup. Third Race. —Norwilson (McLeod Bros.), Comet (Brimble and Rawlinson), Tua Tea (Andrews and C. Dennis;. Tua Tea, 1; Comet, Fourth Race.—Tua Tea (Baker and Hoskings), Comet (Andrews and Grant), Norwilson (Brimble and Rawlinson). Result: Comet, 1: Tua Tea. 2. Fifth Race. —Norwilson (G. Dennis;, Tua Tea (W. Goodison), Comet (N. Wilson). Result: Tua Tea, I : Comet. Grant and Andrews were selected to represent Manukau Yacht Club in the Cornwell Cup contest.
