AMNESTY FOR POLITICAL OFFENDERS NEW PARTY FOR ELECTIONS United JP. A. —By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 10.15 a.m. MADRID, Friday. The anniversary of the Queen Mother’s death was made the occasion of an amnesty, under ■which artillery officers were not only pardoned but reappointed to their old ranks and the posts of professors and students rehabilitated. Officials and civilians suffering the consequences of the rebellion and sedition and of political offences were reinstated, and exiles were allowed to return to their homes. It has been decided to turn the Union Patriotica into a political party and submit candidates at the elections.
