MANGERE WEDDING
BRIDE ATTENDED BY SISTER HARDEN—THOMPSON St. J:unes's Church, Mangere Bridge, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Anniversary evening, when Miss Naisie Elizabette Thompson, youngest daughter of Captain and Mrs. R. H. Thompson, c.f Park Avenue, Mangere Bridqe, was married to Mr. Geoffrey Noel Harden, son of the late Mr. Robert Usher Harden and Mrs. Harden, of Dublin, Ireland. The Ven. Archdeacon Hawkins:, assisted by the Rev. A. Venables. Vicar of Mangere, performed the ceremony, which was choral throughout. and Mrs. Venables presided at the organ. The bride was given away by her father and wore a white georgette frock mounted on white ivory satin, and trimmed with silver. Her lace veil formed a train and was caught to the head with sprays of orange blossoms. «he carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white flowers and maider.hair fe 'ln attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Thompson, sister of the bride, who wore a frock of green georgette over green satin, with lemon bangkoa hat to tone, and she carried an autumntS Mr 1 j b o°hn U Stevens. of Christchurch. att Tho e chu?eh e haS ian been beautifull y decorated by friends of the bride for the occasion. , . captain and Mrs. Thompson later received over SO guests at their residence in Park Avenue. Mrs. Thompson was wearing a navyblue crepe de chine gown rimmed With lemon and a smart navy bangkok Eat to tone: she carried a beautitu! boquet of late summer roses.
