COFFEE CAMPAIGN

HOW IT SHOULD BE MADE A “drink more coffee” campaign is being planned, in which people will be told the secrets of how to make good coffee. A standard criticism of foreigners against tbe British is that they do not know how to make coffee properly. Kngland consumes about lib of coffee per head of population per year —approximately equal to 64 cups—and those in the trade are convinced that if people knew how to recognise good coffee and what should be done to prepare it well, there would be a far greater appreciation of the drink. Hence tbe campaign.
