SUBURBAN THEATRES
Fine programmes a.re being shown at most of the Thomas A. O’Brien suburban theatres this evening. The Tivoli Theatre, Earangahape Road, is showing “Dangerous Curves,” Clara Bow’s circus story; a talkie; and all-talkie supports. At both the Rialto, Newmarket, and Regent, Epsom, Theatres, the films are “Our Modern Maidens” (Joan Crawford) and “The Veiled Woman” (Jetta Goudal). The Theatre Royal, Kingsland, is screening Zane Grey's story, “Stairs of Sand.” At the Britannia Theatre, Three Lamps, is “The Doctor’s Secret,” a fine all-talking drama starring Ruth Chatterton and H. B. W~arner, also alltalkie supports. Gilbert Emery, Phillipe de Lacy and Doris Lloyd are the latest additions to the cast of “Sarah and Son,” Ruth Chatterton's current starring talkie. “Sarah and Son,” now in production, was adapted from the widely-read novel by Timothy Shea.
