SWIMMING CARNIVAL
MOUNT EDEN CLUB The 50yds Auckland championship will be the chief event at the second carnival of the season to be conducted by the Mount Eden Amateur Swimming Club at the Mount Eden batlis on Thursday evening next. Tlio championship event promises to be keenly fought, as the nominations include Gordon Bridson, J. P. Farrell, Jack Enwright, and a number of other welL-known Auckland swimmers. Other events are: 66 2-3yds interclub; 220yds Weston Cup; 66 2-3yds women’s; lOOycls back-stroke; SOyds novice handicap; diving championship; and events for junior swimmers. The Mount Eden Bpys’ Brass Band will render selections' between the various events. Nominations for all events will close next Tuesday at 5 p.m.
