EMPRESS, NEWTON
The chief feature at the Empress Theatre is “The Flying Marine,” which is acclaimed as “the air rodeo of the talking screen.” The stars are Beit Lyon, Shirley Mason and Jason Robards.
Grim tragedy stalked into the lives of these three gay young people, and accomplished a solution to a problem which had kept them from all happiness. It is an absorbingly realistic picture. Drama that will hold you spellbound —a handsome youth crashing down from dizzy heights, venturing all on a daredevil escapade to win the girl he loved, only to fail in the end. The second attraction is “The Spieler.” a colourful circus story, starring Fred Kohler and Renee Adoree.
