PROJECTED COMPANIES ACT AMENDMENTS
TO REDUCE FRAUD Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. As a sequel to the Hairy case Mr. A. M. Samuel (Conservative) suggested ill the House of Commons today an amendment to the Companies Act, designed to reduce the possibility of fraud by shortening the interval between the issues of allotment letters and temporary scrip and the date of the exchange of the final scrip for temporary scrip. The President of the Board of Trade, Mr. W. Graham, undertook that this and other suggestions would bo considered when the introduction of amending legislation was considered.
