Ten bandits, moving with the pi excision of military drill, held up the main office of the Western Union Teli>graph, herded 11 employees and ”0 customers in a back room, and escaped with £I.OOO. Eight confederates stood guard, two just outside the doors, and two others stationed in motor-cars ready to speed away. Three others stood at the nearest corner intersection, one holding a machine-gun. By the time passers realised what was happening the bandits had secured the money and flown.
