ENGLISH POLITICIAN REBUKED IMMIGRATION CONTROVERSY Reed. 10.30 a.m. CAPETOWN, Tues. The customs conference between the Union and Northern and Southern Rhodesia, after some perilous moments on Saturday, Ims now practically reached an agreement, which will be sealed at tomorrow’s meeting. The Jews throughout South Africa are protesting against the Irumigration Quota Bill. Colonel Josiah C. Wedgwood, Labour member of the House of Commons, who is visiting the Union, addressed a meeting of Zionists at Capetown, and denounced the Bill, urging the Jews to “stand no nonsense.”
The Press severely rebukes him for meddling in South African affairs and for criticising pending legislation.
