WOLVES AT THE DOOR
ANIMALS COME CLOSE TO CHICAGO HARD NORTHERN WINTER Reed. 1.20 p.m. VANCOUVER, Tues. Real wolves are howling on the edge of Chicago, not counting those figurative wolves who are making life miserable for 40,000 civic employees. The severe winter in Northern Wisconsin and Michigan has driven the wolves southward, ail'd recently the animals tracked within 30 miles of the city. Lewis Mills, whose live stock suffered from their forays, engaged an airplane and drove three wolves from cover and shot them.
