VACUUM FLASK HOUSES

NEW YORK INVENTION The vacuum flask liouse is an invention of a New York architect. For I £6OO one may be able soon to buy a residence which is guaranteed to keep out the wail of the neighbour’s ! loud-speaker. This is not its only advantage, for it is claimed that the construction of the building will ensure an even temperature at the will of the occupier. The plan of liis invention has been presented to the School of Architecture by Mr. R. Buckminster Fuller, a New York architect. The walls will be made of two sheets of material, with the air between them exhausted as far as possible. This will form an insulation, not only against heat and cold, but against sound.
