AUCKLAND AUCTIONS Under an average offering of hides ancl skins came forward to the auctions held tinder the auspices of the Auckland Woolbrokers’ Association this afternoon. The market for heavy ox hides held very firm to slightly in advance of late rates. Cow hides showed little change. Heavy ox made to 6 7-8 d: medium, to 6£d; light, to Cow hides made from Gd to 6 1-Sd. Yearlings, made from 7d to 9d. The market for calf skins was lower pi incipally on account of the inferior quality of the offering; best made to lid; seconds, 9d to lOd. Sheep skins met with a steady demand on lower levels. Three-quarter to full wool cross bred made to 8d: medium, 7id: half wools, to 7d: short and shorn, 6d to 7d; salted pelts, Is 9d to 3s 9d; lamb. Is to 3s.
