NORTHCOTE-BIRKENHEAD
REGATTA ARRANGEMENTS The general meeting of the Northcote and Birkenhead Regatta Committee was 1. ?ld in the Council Chambers, Northcote, last evening, when a large number of yachtsmen and residents attended to formulate plans for the forthcoming regatta. Mr. A. E. Greenslade, Mayor of Northcote, was appointed chairman. It was decided to hold the side-show events at Hinemoa Park. Birkenhead, on Saturday, February 22, and the regatta off Northcote Wharf on Saturday, March 1. It is anticipated that the regatta will be even a greater success than last year. The following officers were elected: Patron: Captain H. H. Sergeant; vicepatrons, Sir James Gunson and Mr. C. E. Campbell; president, Mr. G. R. Hutchinson; committee, A. V. Tyer (chairman), Iv. R. Taylor, H. V. Hayman, A. Clark, R. R. Hayman, J. Taylor, A. Gilfillan, A. Stilwell, W. Hurley, H. Glover, jun., T. Cauldrey; J. Dockley, O. Peace, A. Couldrey, H. Mills, T. Boyd. F. Dickson. E. Fowler J. Dickson and B. Mayall; Sailing Committee, A. Clare. A. Couldrey, A. Clark, K. Taylor, chairman and secretary. Mr. N. J. Campbell was again elected secretary and treasurer: Side-show Committee. the whole General Committee: starters, sailing events, Messrs. A. V. Tyer and W. A. "Wilkinson; recorder, Mr. G. E. Daycock: judges. Messrs. C. E. Campbell and G. R. Hutchinson.
