GREEN BAY CARNIVAL
SUCCESSFUL EVENT STAGED The Green Bay Beach Improvement ’Association had every reason to be pleased with its efforts, when its fifth, annual carnival was staged yesterday. About 2,000 attended and the sides’* hows and carnival attractions were greatly enjoyed. The arrival of King Neptune from the sea caused much merriment, and n treasure hunt and children’s races added to the pleasure of those present. Green Bay :s situated at the end of Portage Road, within tho New Lynn district, and for some time past tho association, ol: which Mr. W. Ivealy is president, has been actively at Avork making improvements. As <t result’ of the carnival a. substantia 1 sum is expected to be realised, and as this will carry a subsidy, many further improvements will be able to be effected.
